Hike on the Tour des Muverans
The Tour des Muverans is a magnificent hike that takes you through its valleys and nature reserves, over its passes, and along its ridges, lakes and rivers.
But that’s not all: a hike on the Tour des Muverans also gives you the chance to spot alpine flowers (especially in June/July), bearded vultures, golden eagles, ibex, chamois and marmots. And there’s more!
The tour in figures: 54 km, 4300 metres of ascent, 4 to 6 days, 3 to 5 huts.
Setting off from Pont de Nant, I did the Tour des Muverans at the end of June in 4 days in an anti-clockwise direction, stopping at the La Tourche hut, the Fenestral hut, and the Lac de Derborence refuge.
The Tour des Muverans has the advantage of offering several routes. The basic itinerary is fairly demanding (T3+), but several variations are possible depending on the wishes of the group and the weather conditions.
All in all, the Tour des Muverans is an excellent multi-day hike (or trek). It offers an incredible diversity of scenery.
