Day 1 : Ascent to the Summits. Meet in the morning at the «Vercorin – Crêt du Midi» cable car station for immediate immersion on the ridge trails. After approximately 6 hours of walking, we will reach the Becs de Bosson hut, nestled at nearly 3,000 metres altitude. There, we will enjoy a calm, starry night far from any light pollution to recharge before the rest of the adventure.

Day 2: Tracing the Alps. Head towards the Moiry hut, skirting the eponymous lake through flowery meadows and moraines—a route of about 8 hours over varied terrain. The Moiry region acts as an open book on the Earth’s history: as we progress, we will discover the gigantic phenomena that have shaped the Alps. Keep your eyes peeled during this stage, for it is on these flowery slopes that we will search for the Edelweiss, the emblematic and fragile treasure of our heights. Second night in the hut.

Day 3: Return via the High Path. To conclude this trek, a final hike will lead us to the Moiry dam via the path overlooking the other side of the lake, revealing a unique viewpoint of the dam and the surrounding landscapes. We will take the post bus in the early afternoon to descend back to the valley, our heads filled with unforgettable images.

Details of the 3-Day Trek from Vercorin to Moiry

Date:
- Friday 17 to Sunday 19 July 2026
Technical difficulty:
- Demanding mountain hiking trails (maximum grade T3)
Physical difficulty:
- Day 1: 10 km, 1,200 m ascent, 500 m descent
- Day 2: 17 km, 1,000 m ascent, 1,200 m descent
- Day 3: 8 km, 200 m ascent, 800 m descent
Groupe:
- Minimum 4 persons
- Maximum 6 persons
Language:
- To be defined according to the group composition (French, German, English, or a mix).
Price and Registration Deadline:
- CHF 650 per person until 26 April 2026 (Early Bird).
- CHF 695 per person until 26 June 2026. Trek confirmation date based on the number of participants.
- CHF 725 per person thereafter, if the trek takes place.
- CHF 18 discount for SAC (Swiss Alpine Club) members (refunded at the end of the stay upon presentation of membership card at the huts).
Included:
- The organisation and the mountain leader.
- 2 nights in mountain huts with half-board.
Not included:
- Travel between your home and the start/end of the hike.
- Drinks, packed lunches, and personal expenses.
- Vercorin – Crêt du Midi cable car (CHF 16).
- Insurance (cancellation, etc.).
- Any service not explicitly mentioned.
Meeting place and time:
- Vercorin, cable car station, in front of the ticket offices at 09:15.
Equipment
- Suitable hiking gear (see example), including a sleeping bag liner for hut nights. The list of materials will be provided after registration.
Remarks:
- Please indicate your dinner preference (omnivore or vegetarian) and any food allergies when registering.
- We start in Vercorin and finish in Moiry; if you are coming by car, please park in Sierre and continue by public transport.
- Picnics can be ordered at the huts for CHF 15 and CHF 20 respectively.
- Despite all care taken to ensure everyone’s safety, mountain activities involve a residual risk which the participant accepts.
