Recommended equipment<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Below is a list of recommended equipment that should be part of your hiking gear. A more specific list can be sent according to each hike in my programme<\/a>. <\/p>

Summer equipment<\/h5>
  • Hiking clothing adapted to the expected weather conditions<\/li>
  • Waterproof high-top hiking boots with non-slip soles (no trail shoes)<\/li>
  • 25 to 35 litre hiking bag with rain cover<\/li>
  • Wallet (identity papers, cash, insurance cards)<\/li>
  • Mobile phone<\/li>
  • Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sun cream, possibly long clothing)<\/li>
  • Personal pharmacy<\/li>
  • Water bottle (1.5 litre minimum)<\/li>
  • Lunch<\/li>
  • Snacks (cereal bars, oilseeds, dried fruit, etc.)<\/li>
  • Toilet paper and a small dustbin<\/li>
  • Waterproof clothing (hooded jacket, trousers)<\/li>
  • Jacket, thin gloves, hat<\/li>
  • Anti-tick spray<\/li><\/ul>
    Optional summer equipment, depending on the route planned<\/h5>
    • Swiss Knife<\/li>
    • Headlamp<\/li>
    • Hiking poles<\/li>
    • Camera<\/li>
    • Binoculars<\/li>
    • Gaiters<\/li><\/ul>
      Additional winter equipment<\/h5>
      • Waterproof winter clothing (hooded jacket, trousers)<\/li>
      • Warm gloves and hat<\/li>
      • Snowshoes and poles with large washers<\/li>
      • Avalanche equipment certified UIAA (avalanche transceiver with 3 antennas and new batteries, aluminium shovel, probe 240 mm minimum)<\/li><\/ul>
        Additional equipment for nights in a hut<\/h5>
        • Silk sleeping bag<\/li>
        • Towels and mops for washing without a shower<\/li><\/ul>
